Since I was diagnosed with BC in June 2016 and having gone through the associated treatments and trauma, I needed to find a way to exercise and strengthen my core, body and mind again.


I didn't want to go to overcrowded gyms or inappropriate fitness classes, especially after all I had gone through.


After years of practicing, my good friend Sally had recently qualified in her yoga training and I asked her if she would be interested  in taking on a yoga class for ladies who have been going through Breast Cancer - Sally was very happy to help and we started our yoga classes last year.

Through feedback and learning our needs, Sally has adapted her class and we now include some meditation and relaxation alongside the yoga.

Movement Matters Sit to Stand Yoga

Janis has had to adapt over recent months and now brings  you Sit to Stand Yoga, group for anyone who would like to practice yoga but who don't want to have to get down to the mat. In Sit to Stand yoga the chair becomes the mat, making it accessible to EveryBody! 

 Sit to Stand Yoga is especially beneficial for people with chronic pain, weight issues, people recovering from surgery or accidents and the elderly. 

 I will be sharing videos, information on health and well-being and of course all things chair yoga. I hope that the group will become a place where you can share experiences and knowledge and of course friendship.
